Wasatch Back 2008 (29:14:47) Short-Term Running Goals: Breaking away from the typical use of a blog, this is a team blog for our Wasatch Back Relay Team. The aim of this blog is to not only keep us on track for the 2010 race, but also to promote an active and healthy lifestyle. I’m planning to periodically post updates on group runs and local races, links to running articles, and accomplishments to this blog; therefore, stay tune.--Rossy Personal: Rossy’s Top Ten Running Books:

Upcoming Group Run:
Location: Salt Lake Running Company Highland Drive
Time: 8:00 am
Distance: 3.5-6.5 miles or 14-16 miles
Notes: last week we knocked out 6.5 miles. In regards to the Salt Lake Marathon training schedule, the group run this week calls for 14-16 miles (however, there will be opportunities to run either a 5k or a 10k). Even though the main purpose of this group run is to keep people on schedule to run either the Salt Lake City full or half Marathon on April 17th, it is open to everyone. In other words, regardless of what you are training for, this group run is open to runners of all abilities with options to run shorter distances. Also, no matter how cold, snowy, and wet the weather, they will be hosting this group run. Lastly, if it’s a red-burn day, the location of the run will probably be changed.

Upcoming Group Run:

Distance: 6.5 miles
Notes: last week, our group ran distances from 3.1 miles to 15.5 miles and even received free t-shirts and treats from an Adidas sales representative. For this group run the aim is to run 6.5 miles. Even though the main purpose of this group run is to keep people on schedule to run either the Salt Lake City full or half Marathon on April 17th, it is open to everyone. Consequently, regardless of what you are training for, this group run is open to runners of all abilities with options to run shorter distances.
